Be a part of the solution and enjoy an amazing night out 140,000 Albertans accessed emergency food in 2015, and nearly 70,000 people accessed the food bank in March alone, 40% of those were kids and the need continues to grow. Dry and canned goods is not enough! Everyone deserves fresh produce and the only way this is possible it to grow local!
Why: Food for the Sol exists because we believe everyone should have access to fresh produce, regardless of their economic condition.
How: To create awareness, education and provide funding to organizations that provide fresh produce to those in need, one community at a time starting in Calgary. To support and celebrate those that teach people and communities to grow local, while providing funding for infrastructure.
What: A music based event with food, drinks, live and silent auction and learning events.
Event Description: Gather together annually on the eve of the Summer Solstice for the chance to support a good cause and create a memorable experience, all as we work to help feed Calgarians in need. Food for the Sol is an amazing evening (18+ event) with entertainment including live bands, food trucks, drinks, games, a live and silent auction, as well as activities and learning to improve the community.
